Perthshire’s Big Tree Country Project was launched in 2005 when Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust partnered with the Forestry Commission Scotland, the Woodland Trust, VisitScotland and Perth and Kinross Council. The project has delivered access and interpretation improvements across more than 20 local sites, including the addition of Robert Burns poetry in the Birks O’Aberfeldy and Pinecone Point viewpoint in Dunkeld.

Scottish Crannog Centre

Just 2 miles from Dunkeld, is the unique Corbenic Poetry Path which offers a circular 3kn route around the Corbenic Estate and allows you to walk through forest, moorland and farmland before finishing up at River Braan. Along the route are various sculptures and poems created by local crafters and artists.
