Moness Resort is an attractive and varied hospitality destination situated in Aberfeldy, Highland Perthshire.Consisting of a 26 roomed 4 star hotel, 106 cottages in the grounds and supported by two restaurants, one fine dining and the other more casual together with a range of leisure and spa facilities, so the prospect of working within this environment is quite compelling

Head Chef

We are looking for an experienced head chef to work alongside our executive chef to continue to drive the business forward.

About You

The appropriate candidate will have knowledge and experience in:

  • Menu Development
  • Stock control and hitting GP targets
  • Working to wage percentages
  • Staff training
  • Organising teams in up to 3 outlets
  • Wedding and event catering

Main Responsibilities

The appropriate candidate will have knowledge and experience in:

  • Responsibility for the day to day running of the business
  • Ensure targets are continually hit
  • A good knowledge of HACCP, and allergen awareness
  • Previous experience in similar multi outlet hotel would be preferred but not essential

Reservations Agent

We are looking for a full time Reservations Agent to join our friendly front office team. Our Reservations Agents, contribute to the growth of the accommodation and restaurant business, maximising occupancy and revenue, through proactive selling and effectively converting enquiries into sales. The role will involve some weekend and evening shifts.

About You

  • You will be able to come to work every day eager to engage with our guests
  • You must have strong communications skills as you will be communicating with guests and colleagues face-to-face, over the phone and via email and social media.
  • A background in hospitality and experience in reservations would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
  • You should have the ability to deal with people from different backgrounds and possess a strong command of the English language.
  • Ideally you will be able to deal with changing priorities and work demands while maintaining an eye for detail.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for responding to customer enquiries, comments and reviews across Trip Advisor, Facebook, Instagram and Google.
  • Carrying out concierge calls to guests that are due to stay at the resort.
  • Answering reservations enquiries and making bookings.

Beauty Spa Therapist

We are looking for an experienced people focused Spa Therapist to work alongside the Spa Manager in running the spa at Moness Resort. The spa is about to undergo a refurbishment and we are currently working with a new supplier as we work towards relaunching the spa.

About You

  • You will be an Experienced Spa Therapist at HNC level
  • Ideally with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • A genuine passion for customer service and delivering a great experience to your guests
  • Experience in delivering a full range of treatments including: massage; waxing; facials and nails
  • You will be a team player
  • Full of ideas and initiative and eager to employ a collaborative approach alongside the Spa Manager

Main Responsibilities

  • Working alongside the Spa Manager to deliver a fantastic guest experience
  • Carry out a range of treatments to the highest standards
  • Identify opportunities to promote the Spa
  • Identify sales opportunities for products within our range
  • Carry our any additional reasonable task as requested by The Spa Manager
  • Ensuring full compliance with all relevant policy and legislation

Training will be included via our new supplier prior to the relaunch.

Waiting & Bar Staff

We are looking for both full and part-time staff, preferably with experience, to join our front of house hospitality team. You will be providing a variety of waiting, bar and setting up services to a high standard. Both the full and part-time roles will include some work at weekends and evenings.

About You

As a member of the front of house team you will be expected to be proficient at:

Assistant Restaurants Manager

We are looking for a full time permanent Assistant Restaurant Manager.

About You

  • Management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Restaurant Management: 1 year (Preferred)

Main Responsibilities

  • Research new wholesale food suppliers and negotiate prices
  • Calculate future needs in bar ware and equipment and place orders, as needed
  • Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
  • Prepare shift schedules
  • Supervise waiting staff and provide support, as needed
  • Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks
  • Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling trainings and ordering uniforms)
  • Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
  • Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus
